Meeting Minutes:          (Next Meeting: October 14, 2003, Excapees RV Park)

Minutes of the 9/9/02 meeting of the TriArea RC Flyers

The meeting was called to order at 7:00PM at the SKP clubhouse by president Wylie. In attendance were: Wylie, Anliker, Greene, Henley, Fitch, Nodell, Oaks, Ryder, G. Smith, Pyles, Granger, Benjamin, Nisbett, Allred and Dantzler. Prospective members attending were Gary Austin and Bill Craighead.

The minutes were read and approved and the Treasurer’s report showed assets of $2922.82, comprised of $2393.82 in the bank account and $529 in fuel. The largest expenditure was $205 paid to Olypen for our server and website. Terry Lore gave the club a thank you card and a $20 donation for letting him fly at the field.

The first order of business was to welcome Bill Craighead into the club as a new member.

The members were asked to tell what frequencies they were using so we can update the roster.

A critique of the Fun Fly was provided by Pyles and Granger.

Loren Nisbett discussed the type of T-shirts and sweatshirts he would be able to work up for the members. They will have a picture on the front and the club logo on the back and the cost will be $10 for the T-shirts and $20 for the sweatshirts. He was given a list of members who ordered the shirts and Pyles agreed handle the transactions.

Granger recommended that the members use a fuel retrieval system to avoid spilling fuel on the ground. He showed a simple one and the members agreed when the Field Rules are updated, a rule should be put in to encourage compliance with a no- spill policy.

John Fitch was the worthy recipient of the Crash-of-the-Month Trophy for trying to impersonate a posthole digger with his Ugly Stick.

The meeting was adjourned and an ex member’s flying outfit was auctioned off.
