Meeting Minutes:          (Next Meeting: , 2002, Excapees RV Park)

Minutes of the 3/11/03 Meeting of the TriArea  RC Flyers

The meeting was called to order by President Wylie at 7:00PM at the SKP Center.  In attendance  were: Wylie, Anliker, Allred, Calkins, Fitch, Merrill, Takata, Waaga, Ryder, Oaks, G. Smith, Stuck, Benjamin, Greene, Hanke and prospective members Chuck Hatch and Walt Van Blom.

The Treasurer’s report showed assets of $3142.06, comprised of $2924.06 in the bank account and $218 in fuel inventory.  The fuel inventory consists of 4, 9, and 3 gallons of 10%, 15% and 4S, respectively.

The first order of business was to welcome Chuck Hatch and Walt Van Blom into the club as new members.

President Wylie reviewed the status of our relationship with the neighbors across the valley and cautioned everyone to avoid flying over their property.

Keith Allred encouraged the membership to oppose the state legislature’s attempts to add an annual RV tax in the amount of 0.8% of the value of the RV.

No one would own up to having any flying difficulties during the month so the Crash-of-the-Month Trophy was retained by Randy Calkins.

The meeting was adjourned and a video on model airplane alignment was shown.  Ed Stuck and Frank Merrill showed their airplanes and cookies were provided by Harry Takata and Wylie.

Submitted by Bill Anliker, Sec./Treas.

Editors Comments:

I have enrolled in a Web Design class that begins April 7th in Port Townsend.  My hope is that as the summer progresses I will be able to add valuable enhancements to our club web page for everyone to enjoy.  I will keep you posted here at our web site and when I see you at our meetings and at the field.

Happy flying and see you at the field!
